The Oakwright, LLC started as a dream; a dream to bring old world craftsmanship to the modern world. With a focus on traditional joinery and historical accuracy, the team at The Oakwright can bring details, often only seen in pictures, to life. Our mission is to create beauty that can be cherished for generations.

Services:

At its core, The Oakwright is about honoring time proven techniques. We focus on the use of hand tools because of the provenance. The finished shutters or timber frame show the hand tooling marks that can’t be replicated with machines. The Oakwright crafts shutters, mantels, arbors, and more throughout the Greater Milwaukee and Chicagoland areas.

One unique feature of The Oakwright is our vertical integration. Much of the oak used in our projects is grown, harvested, and milled right here in Wisconsin. This cuts down on not only transportation, but allows for superior quality control.
